Damien Barber is a native of Baltimore MD. He spent his childhood in the Park Heights community where he experienced the pit falls and troubles that many still suffer with today. At the age of 18, Damien joined the United States Army and served in Operation Iraqi Freedom. When Damien returned home, the adjustment to civilian life was tough. The effects of serving in the armed forces left Damien with severe mental health issues such as PTSD, Panic disorder, and manic depression. There were periods of time in Damien’s life when he slept in cars or on a friends cough just trying to survive. Eventually Damien was able to bounce back from being homeless and abandoned by those he loved. With the help of God and a strong support system, Damien was able to obtain a career, open a commercial cleaning business and heal broken relationships. As a Veteran of the United States Army, he knows how difficult it can be to adjust to the blows life can deal you. Through Living Waters HOH Damien hopes help you Repair, Rebuild, & Recover.
